The truth for many of us is that it has become normal to be running on nervous energy, constantly anxious or feeling overwhelmed with life.

The Calm Raft offers classes for adults once a fortnight where you can take 90 minutes to prioritise your  calm and look after your own wellbeing and meet likeminded people who are committed to doing the same.  

We also offer children’s classes once a week for any children struggling with anxiety, overwhelm or feelings of not feeling confident or able to be themselves. (Children’s classes will be starting very soon so please drop us a message if you want to reserve a place.)

 

The Calm Raft for adults currently meets once a fortnight in Newton Abbot for 90 minutes on a Wednesday evening.  This is a calm and wellbeing session for adults and is open to everyone over the age of 18. 

Why are we called "The Calm Raft"?

Did you know that sea otters support each other and help each other to stay safe by holding hands and wrapping themselves in seaweed to create a raft!?  Some of the otters look so relaxed and chilled in a raft while others twirl around playing – but they are all safe and all part of the raft.  We loved this idea and thought it sounded very similar to how we want the Calm Raft to feel like a safe community where you get to be yourself and feel supported when the storms of life threaten.  Obviously, we are the CALM raft because taking time out to practise calm is at the heart of what we do.
